Preparation
Wash Hands – Soap and water.
Gather – Vial, alcohol swabs, insulin syringe, sharps container.
Choose Time – Same time each day.
Site Prep
Select Site – Abdomen, thigh, or upper arm; rotate sites.
Clean Skin – Alcohol swab; let air-dry.
Draw Dose

Measure Volume –
300 mcg/0.3 ml SKU: draw 0.30 ml (for 300 mcg) up to 1.00 ml (for 1 mg).
1 mg/0.3 ml SKU: draw 0.09 ml (for 300 mcg) up to 0.30 ml (for 1 mg).
De-air – Tap syringe; expel bubbles.
Inject
Pinch Skin – Small fold.
Insert – ~45° into subcutaneous tissue.
Inject Slowly – Depress plunger; withdraw at same angle.
Press – Light pressure with gauze; do not rub.
After
Dispose Safely – Sharps container.
Program – Daily use; if continuing beyond 3 months, follow 6-weeks on / 6-weeks off cycling per your clinician.
